"Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning." - Fred Rogers

  1. This is a wonderful quote! Mr. Rogers was amazing. I also believe play is the process in which children learn. They must explore in their environment to find out how everything works. Exploring through trial and error, inquiry based learning, interactions with each other.

    1. I will be honest, until this year I really didn't understand how children learn through play. My career in K-8 was so academic focused, that I didn't know what to expect when I went to pre-k. After watching my students explore their environment, interact with their peers through play, and learning through play my eyes were opened to just how important play is!
